Tooth

Luke has a tooth coming in. I thought it was a piece of oatmeal but to my surprise it was 2 little ridges of a tooth. He's been sleeping and crying a lot lately. He's busy sitting up, keeping his balance while reaching for his toys. We just love watching him grow-up. He's a little dumpling! Oh, and he is always hungry, so he must be going through a growth spurt. He'll be 9-months old on Saturday...time flies and we're having so much fun!
Now, the big debate...should Luke dress as Shrek, a hippo, cow or monkey for Halloween? Kyler wants him to dress as a hippo, the costume is pretty cute but I consider him my little monkey, so I don't know. What do you think???

Welcome to Luke's Blog!

Our little man is already 8 1/2 months old, boy how time flies! It seems like just yesterday I was on maternity leave playing with him. Oh, how he's grown! He's sitting up, laughing, singing, and admiring himself in the mirror. Our hearts melt every time he smiles back at us. We're truly blessed to have a healthy and happy little boy.
I've been back at work for 4 1/2 months and am finally adjusted and on a schedule that works! The first few months were challenging, Luke seemed to be sick every other week for 3 months but (knock on wood) he's been healthy for the entire month of August. We have been pleased with his daycare. His morning teachers are FABULOUS, not to mention his class is small so the ratio is 1 teacher: 2 children. Fortunately, Luke only has to attend daycare 4 days per week. He looks forward to every Thursday, when he can sleep in AND his Boo comes to play him. Boo is short for Bousha, which means grandma in Polish. His Boo wears him out every week. They play, read, sing, read, play, go for walks, splishsplash in the sink and play some more!
Luke went on his first plane ride in July to Destin, Florida. He laid out at the beach under the umbrella and even went in the ocean for a quick dip with daddy. Luke especially had fun playing with his friends, Conner, Bo and Dabney!
In addition to all his cousins, we're happy to say that Luke has many friends his age, so growing up and having playmates should not be an issue. He can't wait to hang out and start playing with Jacob & James Jorgenson, Aubrey Cunningham, the Terry clan, Reid Bewley, Ethan & Emma Buya, Grayson Tracer, Grant Winsted, Will Odom, Talan & Grant Forman, Claudia Smith, Logan & Brody Trent and Mason Shirely. We hope some day he gets to meet his long distance friends Jack Graham and Will Gritton face-to-face too! And he's anxiously awaiting the arrival of the Lazaroff twins! :)
We hope you enjoy reading the special moments in Luke's life as much as we enjoy sharing them with you!
